Running at 38 Weeks Pregnant, That Day I Tried to Do Everything, and Breakfast for Dinner (WIAW 8/17)
Yesterday was quite a day. I could especially tell this morning that yesterday wiped me out, when I had to drag myself out of bed.
Thank goodness for slow mornings and hot coffee.
Yesterday was one of those, get-all-the-errands-done-as-fast-as-possible-days. I don’t know why I try to squeeze everything into one day…anyone else do this?
Anyways, since this is supposed to be a WIAW post, onto the eats…
(WIAW? Confused? Get the details here.)
I started off my Tuesday morning with a few pieces of watermelon, before heading out for a two mile run.
These days, two miles feels more like 5 miles. And I’m okay with that. A couple months ago, if I would have only been able to run two miles, it wouldn’t have even seemed like a “real” run to me. Now, I’m quite excited to finish two complete miles. It’s amazing how running changes as you change.
Although I am content with my two milers for now, I can’t wait to get back to my long runs! 10 miles, I’m looking at you 😉
After my run, I refueled with lots of water, a cup of coffee and a smoothie.
I’m sure you are shocked. (Smoothies = Obsession)
I spent my morning having my devotions, cleaning the house, blogging, writing thank you notes, delivering coffee, starting a couple loads of laundry, and sending emails.
Did I mention I was busy yesterday?
Once Landon came home for lunch, I made myself a big salad (with tomatoes from the garden!!) and cheese (that didn’t made it into the photo)
I finished my lunch off on a sweet note with grapes and a plum.
I don’t know about you, but I love plums!
This is basically how I felt all afternoon 😉
Once Landon went back to work, I ran errands at Baby’s R Us (I got baby T’s bouncer!!) and Target. My errands took me longer than expected, which meant I ended up hitting rush hour traffic…it was a long, hot drive. (My car’s air conditioning is funky…)
Thankfully, I made it back to my air conditioned house and I stood in front of the air while eating watermelon out of the comtainer.
I’m a classy sort of person. 😉
For dinner, I made Landon chili and I had a bowl of oatmeal…
I had chili a couple days ago and I think it encouraged heart burn, so I decided to avoid chili yesterday, as good as it sounded.
After dinner, Landon and I left our new apartment, headed back to our old place and spent an hour and a half moving the rest of our stuff. Moving always makes me aware of just how much stuff we have!
My sweet husband let me pack the boxes, while he ran all of the boxes up and down the stairs. He’s so great!
Once we got back home, we (okay, he) unloaded the boxes from both our cars, ate some more watermelon and crashed in bed.
Annndd that’s a wrap! I’ll be back later today with a new recipe. Make it a great Wednesday, okay?
