Our Weekend in 15 Pictures
Good morning guys and how are you today? I hope you are coming to the blog this morning feeling awake and alive and ready for another fabulous week! I am definitely feeling ready for to tackle a lot of big projects this week, since last week Landon had four days off. As nice as it was to be together as a family so much, I am feeling a little scattered as I approach this week (so many projects to get done!)
Since, I am feeling my list of to-dos pile up around me, I am going to roll with this scattered feel and share fifteen pictures of our weekend, instead of my normal ‘must share every single detail’ type of recap post.
Sound good? Okay…
Saturday
Saturday morning necessities = time in the Word. My days always feel 290x better when I start my morning off with time spent lingering in Jesus’ presence. Thanks to a sleepy baby, I was able to spend a good almost-hour reading before he stirred.
While Landon played soccer, Niah and I opted to stay home in order to clean the house and get a few things done before our big day.
Busy days = all the coffee.
And a smoothie, of course.
Benaiah and I played together until Landon came home. We ate a quick lunch and then headed out to the last day of the Illinois Christian Home Educators conference (ICHE for short).
Lunching. I promise there was meat in there somewhere.
My chauffeur is the cutest. We were super blessed by all three days at the conference, but also super wiped out. A little later, I developed a nasty headache and we spent the rest of the evening at home resting.
Oh and I think I found my newest, favorite Halo Top flavor. This one was SO good.
Sunday
We all woke up feeling less than wonderful on Sunday morning (umm, colds in June- why?) so we took the morning easy with a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and GF banana pancakes. YES.
After church, we spent the rest of our Sunday lounging around and resting, since we didn’t feel too good. We had quite a few plans we had to cancel with multiple people (such a bummer!) but I think the extra rest did us all some good.
After I worked up a sweat with a short and sweat body weight circuit workout, we eventually ventured out and enjoyed some sunshine before dinner. Landon and I dreamed up some future goals while strolling around our town, while Benaiah tried hard to stay awake.
Wild hair, don’t care.
My favorite boys.
Once we got home, we ate a ‘clean out the fridge’ type of dinner, which consisted of a BLT salad (so good!) and a cup of bean soup on the side.
Once Benaiah went to bed, we chilled on the couch, ate some popcorn and watched some Netflix before calling it a night.
I hope you guys have a fantastic day! I will catch you tomorrow!
