My Sister is Super Talented + Feeling a Little Out of Place (TOL #65)
Hello and happy Thursday! Can you believe that tomorrow is already Friday? I swear, this week has flown by and I haven’t even been that busy. I don’t think we have a lot of weekend plans, but I know we will be soaking in as much sunshine as possible. I heard that it is supposed to be in the sixties around here and I don’t want to miss any chance we have of enjoying the beautiful weather. Not bad for this time of year, right?
As typical, we are kicking off this Thursday with another round of TOL. For more info, click here. Also, thank you again to Amanda for hosting.
Okay, let’s get this party started…
Last night, Landon and I went out to the fanciest restaurant we’ve been to to date. It was a Brazilian steak house and they kept on bringing out plate after plate of food. As delicious as it was, both Landon and I felt a little out of place when they kept asking questions that sounded like a foreign language to us. I knew we were in trouble when the waiter asked if I wanted my coat ‘tagged.’ I said yes and pretended that I knew what I was doing. Maybe this is a sign we should get out more? After that initial shock, we settled into the atmosphere and I really enjoyed being treated like royalty. We left with full stomachs and full hearts. It was so nice to be able to get out of the house and enjoy each other’s company without any interruptions.
As much as we loved out quiet time together, we did miss this guy!
I’m going to take a moment and brag on my sister, because she just released her first single on Youtube!! You guys have to make sure to check it out. Not only does she love Jesus and is simply gorgeous, but she has an amazing voice and just managed to whip up this professional grade single. <<< Talent right there folks.
My run today was a two mile speed interval workout and I ended with a three minute plank. I love that I am now able to run inside while the little man plays with his toys. It is such a nice break and I’m glad to have the flexibility. Another reason runners are weird – sometimes the most exhausting parts of our day (i.e. a sweaty run) are the most relaxing. Go figure.
I’m going to end it here for today, I hope you guys have a great rest of your Thursday! Be sure to check back in tomorrow for a fun recipe.
