Last Weekend I…Fall Festival + Homecoming
Happy weekend friends! Although I am miserably cold, huddled in a blanket, and trying to recovery from being outside this morning; this Saturday has gone pretty well. This post however, is not about today. Let’s rewind to last weekend when the sun was shining, I was sweating (instead of shivering!), and birds were chirping…
Last weekend I:
Went to a football game.
In the Valley, we know how to do football. We adorn ourselves in red, zealously ring cowbells, and cheer on our boys. Last weekend was also the homecoming game which made things ten times more exciting!
Although we lost, it was a fun game to attend..
Last weekend I:
Ran three, pain-free miles on Saturday morning. Saturday day was also the Fall Festival in our town. Fall Fest, in our town, is the biggest festivity that happens. It usually involves carnival rides and food, craft shows, tractor shows, car shows, and lots of other fun stuff. Before heading “downtown” I pounded three miles on the pavement and stretched out.
I was also excited that my leg felt pretty strong!
Last weekend I:
Drank many of these. I think it may have become an addiction.
Fall festivities started shortly after I cleaned up from my run. We could not have asked for better weather either! It was warm, but not hot. Perfect for a day of roaming around and bargain hunting.
Last weekend I:
Envied all the produce.
Bought a few candles.
Tried to talk myself into getting a new dresser. I failed.
Wore real people clothes and shoes.
And took pictures of these two. My brother went to homecoming on Saturday with his girlfriend, Hannah. They were too adorable.
How precious!
After homecoming pictures, I came back home, watched a movie, burnt my new candles and fell asleep.
Sunday, after church, I walked in the parade and enjoyed family time.
I am now trying to understand how in a week the weather can change so dramatically? Snow- in October?! No thank you.
What have you guys been doing these past two weekends?
