Goodbye Fall
I have decided it officially hit winter. I was looking at the forecast and this is what I saw..
Let’s just say, I am not thrilled about any temperatures that dip below the 50s. I will survive, but I am not super excited about running in the freezing cold.
With the new weather approaching, there are things I am going to miss about fall. Fall is my favorite season. There is so much to do outside and you are not dying of heat. The air is crisp. The aromas of sweet treats is captivating. The colors are breath-taking. The sports are intense Yes..I am going to greatly miss it.
There is beauty in every season and I am excited for the approaching Christmas season; however, there are some things I am going to miss. Such as…
I am going to miss.
1. Football
There is nothing like a good football game. Football is my favorite sport. It has strategy, speed, intensity, and excitement. I started watching football with my dad when I was four, I used to base my ‘favorite’ teams off their colors. Thankfully, I will let everyone know, I have grown out of that stage.
2. All.things.pumpkin.
Pumpkin oatmeal, pumpkin pie, pumpkin candles…I crave pumpkin when the temperature drops and nights drag on longer. I don’t know why exactly, but I do know it happens to others…
3. Bonfires
Bonfires, music, friends and smores. Life doesn’t get better. Weird tangent: I don’t like chocolate on my smore. I know, I know, heresy. But don’t knock it until you try it. Anyways, I know you technically can have bonfires still in the winter, but really, who wants to freeze that bad?
3. Colorful trees and hiking
Hiking when the leaves are turning is one of the best things to do in the fall. Time spent with family, even better. I suppose I will have to replace hiking with skiing for the winter.
4. Fall flavors
But let’s be honest, fall flavors are meant for all year-long.
I know there are more things that I am going to miss, but those are the major ones.
What about you guys? Or are you ready to be over this season?
