Goodbye 2016 – Reflections from a Monumental Year
Good morning friends and happy New Year’s Eve! Can you believe it’s the last day of 2016? I think this year was the fastest year of my life (which may have something to do with having a baby?) Every year, I like to look back and reflect on everything that has happened, all the different memories, because those memories and moments shape the years.
This year turned out to be a monumental one and I thought it would be fun to take a peek at some fun events that have happened this year.
In 2016…
Early January, we found out we were expecting.
In April we took a vacation to Miami, Florida, swam in the ocean and ate peanut butter sandwiches on the beach. Oh! And I also experienced Chipotle for the first time in my life. (<<< I know, strange right…)
God provided a new place for us to live in July. (Which we love!)
In August we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary!
Consumed many cups of coffee. <3
Benaiah and I conquered over 300 pregnant miles together!
Drank quite a few smoothies.
Came up with some fun recipes and grew in my food/life photography (<<still learning!)
On September 1st, our little boy entered the world. We love you so much, Benaiah.
And…this December we’ve celebrated our second Christmas together, married, and our first Christmas with Benaiah.
…
Looking back, God has done great things this year. I feel overwhelmed by His goodness and His grace that He daily gives. This year was filled with much joy, a few tears, and lots of life. This year, I’ve also blogged consistently and enjoyed working with different brands as an ambassador or affiliate. Most of all, with blogging, I’ve enjoyed getting to know my readers more and I so appreciate all of your support for Lulu Runs! Every one of your comments is appreciated and I can’t wait to get to know you all better in 2017! I have big plans for the blog next year, and I can’t wait for you guys to see what is in store. So, stay tuned. 😉
Thank you for journeying with me this year and for keeping up with all my crazy adventures! I hope this new year is even better than the last. Have a great New Years Eve! I’ll catch you all on Monday!
XO
