Favorite Pizza Sauce
My family has always been big fans of pizza, and not only pizza but pizza sauce. We are pretty picky when it comes to the taste and amount on top of our slice; so when my mom found an easy recipe we could make we all jumped aboard.
This sauce is a cheap and easy fix, not to mention delicious. It’s perfect for Friday nights before football games, movie nights, or as an appetizer for dipping bread sticks in. Either way, once it is made you’re winning.
Pizza Sauce:
Makes enough for 2 Large Pizzas
29 oz. Tomato Puree
1 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Pepper
1/2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 Tsp. Onion Powder
1/2 Tsp. Parsley
1/2 Tsp. Basil
1/2 Tsp. Oregano
1/2 Tsp. Thyme
Stir all seasonings into the tomato purée and bring to a boil (stirring constantly it will burn!). Once brought to a boil, lower to a simmer and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Once cooked, move from burner and cool and top pizzas with as much as desired.
Bake pizza as directed and enjoy.
Hope you all enjoy this recipe as much as we do!
