Change is Good and Hard: Upcoming Life Changes!
Something I am learning lately is that change is good and yet, change is hard. We are so excited that Landon got a new job (!!) and will be starting soon! It is going to be such a good place for him to use his skill sets and he (we) couldn’t be more excited about it. On the same side of the coin, I’ve found myself lately feeling anxious, wondering what life will look like with longer hours, a longer commute, etc. But yet, I am excited to see what God has in store for our lives, my family, and Landon’s new career path. It will definitely be exciting and I am super pumped to watch him grow, learn, and dominate 😉
I find it interesting learning about how people handle change. I used to think I was a go-with the flow type of person, and while in some regards I think I still am; I am definitely seeing that I do just OK with change. Not great, but not terrible either. If I think about change like an adventure then I do pretty good and ultimately I know that Jesus has us in his hands and it is all in his control. Seeing how God provided this job for Landon makes me excited to see where He is going to take us on this new journey together!
So far in our married life, Landon has only worked one job and I’ve been a stay at home mom (plus blogging.) and most of our commute has been 10 minutes or under. Now, with this upcoming longer commute, the days will look a little different and that unknown leaves me feeling a little anxious, but also inspired. I don’t know what our days will look like in the next couple months or what our new routines will look like, but I’m also excited about finding a new routine and getting used to that. There’s something fun about getting into new routines and the excitement of finding a new normal. So, here’s to finding a new normal and getting into new life situations!
Questions of the Day
- How do you handle change? Do you like change?
- How many jobs have you had?
- What is the best part about your Thursday, so far?
