Just Another Typical Tuesday – A Day in the Life of #3
Good morning from my cup of coffee to yours. Thank goodness our illness on Monday was short lived and now I’m wondering if it was just a case of the Mondays?
Like last week, I thought I would share a peek into our daily life yesterday. It wasn’t that crazy of a day, but we made the most of our slow day at home.
Let’s start at the beginning, shall we?
Any day around here starts off with my typical cup of coffee + devotions and Benaiah snuggles. After I read my Bible, I read his ‘kid’ Bible to him while I finished my coffee.
After we read, I threw on some workout clothes and fit in a quick sweat sessions brought to me by a pilates video and yoga. I finally am getting my headstand down and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
Once my workout was finished, I made a quick protein shake and another cup of coffee. Because two cups of coffee in the morning is not an indulgence- it’s a necessity.
As usual, I made my protein shake with my favorite, Designer Protein protein (snag your own protein for 20% off using the code BETHANY20!) and chugged it down while Benaiah played with his toys.
My happy boy. He makes every day so fun.
The rest of our morning we spent reading books, napping, and cleaning.
Landon came home for lunch around one and served a salad topped with rice, feta, almonds, sunflower seeds, and cauliflower. Random, but delicious.
We decided to end lunch on a sweet note with a Pink Lady Apple (my favorite).
Once Landon went back to work, Niah and I read a few more books and I fed him, before leaving to grab a few groceries. Benaiah was a champ and loved our time out. Honestly, I did too (even if it was grocery shopping!) and I need to remember how refreshed I feel leaving the house at least once a day.
While finishing up shopping, I bought my favorite sparkling water and enjoyed that upon returning home.
The rest of the afternoon involved me frantically putting all the groceries away, while Benaiah chilled in his high chair and another feeding for the little man. While 80% through diaper changing (I just needed to button up his outfit) we decided to take a selfie. Niah’s face turned out adorable, mine looks a little awkward. Oh, well. 😉
Landon came home early (yay!), which freed me up to run to the library quickly and whip up an easy dinner of chipotle bowls (basically ground turkey + rice + sauteed peppers, onions and corn.) Super easy and super delicious. My camera battery died, otherwise I would grace you guys with a picture of our dinner.
Our evening ended with one or two of these over the last cup of coffee for the day. And yes, I do drink water, coffee is just way more fun to talk about.
And that’s all for today! I’ll catch you all tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by!
