5 Thoughts
Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve felt inspired to write a post on here. I don’t know if it’s the lack of sleep or caffeine, but my brain is feeling a little on the dry side of things today. But, I have some coffee and the sun is at that beautiful golden hour of the day and filling the room with that warm light which just makes me want to take a nap…
Can you believe that Christmas is FIVE days away? Thankfully, I have all my Christmas shopping done (aside from a few little items) and I’ve never felt so prepared for Christmas than this year. Landon and I took a day or two, last week, and plowed through a ton of Christmas shopping. It was fun to make a day of it and spend time at the stores, enjoy the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. Now, all that’s left is watching a couple of my favorite Christmas movies, maybe baking some gingerbread cookies, hosting a caroling event (?), and deciding on what to make for Christmas morning. I am thinking some type of egg casserole + something bready or potatoes. I have no idea. Someone give me some ideas please!
Okay, THIS SONG. So much yes.
While we are on the topic of Christmas, I have to ask what are your favorite Christmas movies? I am determined to watch The Nativity Story, Elf, It’s a Wonderful Life, and a Charlie Brown Christmas before the big day. I also love the classic’s like Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, oh and also While You Were Sleeping. We may have to have some movie marathons.

Turning a different corner, have you guys seen my newest website? One reason I have been a little quieter on this site, is that I have launched a new website, taking my run coaching totally over there. I am SO pumped to be serving athletes, of all levels, over on Persistent Running. My mission is to help you persistently pursue your goals – through courageous living and smarter not harder training. Right now, Persistent Running packages are all 20% off for the Christmas season. If you are looking for a run coach or for a Christmas gift for a runner in your life, hit me up! SO excited to continue develop team #persistentrunners and impact the running community!
Lastly, last week Landon and I went on a four and a half mile run together and it brought back so many memories from our dating days. We used to go on runs together and end our dates with picnics. This time, we went on a 4.5 mile run, out for coffee and chatted about out 2019 goals. It’s so exciting thinking about tackling life together as a team. I am so grateful for this man and the ability to do life together. Landon, you are forever my favorite training partner.
Hope you all have an awesome rest of your Thursday!
