One Year
Today marks one year of marriage to this amazing man.
* Warning: sappy post ahead*
I can’t believe that it has been a year since Landon and I committed our lives to one another and began the wonderful, crazy, and beautiful journey of marriage.
This year has been full of surprises, full of joy, full of laughter, and even a few tears.
Last year, if you would have told me just how quickly this year would go, I wouldn’t have believed you. And yet, here we are August 23, 2016 and I am overwhelmed at just how quickly this year has gone.
During this first year of marriage, we’ve moved into our first apartment together, laughed until we’ve cried, stayed up late talking and dreaming about the future, shared many Bible studies together, found out we were/are expecting our first child, ran many miles, shared our first Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter together, sang many songs, moved into our second apartment, learned how to be better communicators, shared our fears, cried together, watched movies, played board games, and so much more.
Living life with Landon has not only opened my eyes up to my Savior’s passionate love for me, but shown just how much I don’t deserve Jesus or Landon’s love. And yet they both love me. And for that, I am so thankful.
It’s amazing how Landon is exactly the kind of man I prayed would be my husband and more.
So, Landon, thank you for showing me Christ’s love daily, for leading me boldly, and caring for me passionately.
Thank you for leading me in our devotions every night, for taking out the trash, for running many miles with me, for holding my hand, for listening to my dreams, for encouraging me in running/blogging/and pursuing my goals, for always applauding my cooking (even when it’s not your favorite!), for boldly protecting me and so much more.
I love your love for Jesus, I love your laugh, your passion for me, baby T, and family, I love your creative and questioning mind. I am so thankful for all the sacrifices you’ve made for me and baby T this year.
Thank you for working hard, for listening to my endless rambling, for holding me when I cry, and for laughing with me. You’ve only exceeded me expectations and I am looking forward to the many more memories we will make together.
I know you are going to be a wonderful father to our little one and I can’t wait to love you, support you, and serve you this next year and every year after that.
I love you and thank you for loving me with Jesus like love this year of marriage. I look forward to all the years ahead.
You’re my favorite.
